Spring has definitely arrived as we begin the fieldwork in our lower field, which we call the Long Flats! This area on our farm has a unique micro-climate that provides a warmer and more protected environment for our early sweet corn crop. While it is hidden from the road view we will be sure to bring you along for the ride on our Facebook page!

We start by preparing the soil so that our biodegradable mulch layer can do its job well. This mulched seed bed will act like a greenhouse, heating the soil and helping to maintain the moisture for when the seeds are planted through it in just a few days!

Not to worry about this mulch product staying around too long either because it will have completely decomposed by the time summer is over without leaving any harmful residues in our soil! We love our Bio 360 technology!
